Exploring RPGs Through Character Creation

I enjoy the hosts even measured tones and calm yet enthusiastic discussions regarding games . I am anxious a lot of the time this podcast helps me remain calm . Their positivity shines through which is always welcome . Character creation is a great insight into a game system .

As a comedian, podcaster, and interviewer, I have full comprehension of how exhausting it can be to try and be endlessly charming; especially when working with a guest. Amelia and Ryan make it look effortless with multiple guests. I guess it helps that, like me, that have some of the warmest, most delightful people in the gaming spaces to join them and it’s also probably a big help that the very concept of a podcast about character creation might be the greatest idea of all time. They bring their knowledge, experience, and, as noted, charm to these in-depth discussions about my personal favorite part of playing TRPGs. I can only hope that I one day become well-regarded enough in gaming spaces that they have me on for a GURPS episode, ignorinh the fact that this sincere review is also a subtle plug for my own stuff. Thanks for making this for humans!

I encountered this wonderful podcast from some of their collaborators, the Magpies Podcast and the One Shot network, and boy am I glad that I did. TTRPGs can require a lot of investment to get into, so I’ve found listening to the CCcast is a great way to see what other systems might work for you. Making PCs is certainly more engaging than reading blurbs! I think this format really hits the nail on the head and I’ve found new games I want to play while listening. The hosts are lovely, genuine and well-spoken people and the guests are an interesting bunch o’ nerds. Everyone always seems very smart, passionate and inviting to the hobby. I love this podcast and I’d recommend it to anyone whose interested in expanding the boundaries of our hobby and learning some new games! Thanks for making it!

I wasn’t sure if I was going to like a podcast just about character creation but these two fantastic hosts really make it utterly enthralling. The only flaw with the characters they create is that now I find myself invested in a story/game that will never happen. For the first time I understand why people create fan fiction. Can’t wait for the next bit of fan fiction fodder!😎😁

I reviewed this podcast much earlier in the year on another platform and I am confident in saying that Amelia and Ryan have continued to make me love their show. Genuinely great people and hosts, they interest me in every system they use (Yes Amelia, even Heroes Unlimited) and are a constant source of inspiration in my own character creation. They''ve also introduced me to some amazing systems including some that I would normally not have checked out, and have contributed to many a source book now in my library. Keep up the great work, you two, I look forward to what you create next!
